Any day on the water is better than the best day at work.  However, due to Mother Nature some days on the water are better than others.  Saltwater kayak fishing means launching and landing through the surf.  Over the years I have developed techniques to do this with little or no collateral damage - i.e.  broken bones, poles, sunken reels, etc...  My experience and knowledge will help to guide you through an ocean kayak fishing experience.  I have been kayak fishing in Malibu / N. LA County since 1993.  Being an "X"-surfer I am very familiar with these local spots.

HI! I'M DOUGLAS PACE, FISHING GUIDE & INSTRUCTOR.

This is a very unique red cabezon.  It was caught off the central coast at one of my favorite spots.
